What does JCFA offer junior footballers in Melbourne?
Elite Training Environment
Outside of club football, JCFA offers players the opportunity to hone and enhance their footballing skills in a professional training environment. Helping each player advance from their current level is the aim of every training session at the academy. At the club level, this is uncommon because coaches usually prioritise Sunday's result over the development of their players. In addition to having expertise in the A-League academy and overseas academy's, JCFA coaches have years of experience competing at the top level in the NPL.
Opportunities to play in exclusive tournaments
Since JCFA knows tournaments are a terrific learning opportunity for young players, JCFA plans to participate in as many as possible, with the players who are performing in the program. For a variety of reasons, many Melbourne teams choose not to participate in them, therefore JCFA provides this chance to ensure that young players do not miss out.
A required attendance of 1 session per month is required in order to be eligible for selection for the tournament squads.
Detailed Training Sessions
JCFA places a lot of emphasis on the growth of individual players. The aim of the academy is to develop the player in front of us, not to win games or improve collectively.
With the ball at their feet, the idea is to first help players build a strong foundation. Gaining proficiency with the ball is crucial for moving up the ranks. This is what sets JCFA apart, parents are consistently astounded by the level of detail and the meticulous planning that goes into the exercises and sessions.
The psychological aspect of football is just as significant than what happens after the ball. Being a role model, having mental stability and strength, and comprehending the game are all crucial areas when developing as a player.
